Julie Byrd Diana joined Arlington/Roe in 2021 as an Associate Broker. In 2006, she began working at her father’s insurance agency, Bob Byrd Insurance, in Lafayette, Indiana. She was the third generation in her family to enter into the insurance industry. 11 years later, Julie continued to work for Ellinger Riggs, after her father’s insurance agency was purchased at the end of 2017. Her career at both companies spanned 15 years, during which she worked as an independent property and casualty insurance agent for personal lines, commercial lines, farm, bonds, and workers’ compensation. She was also the office manager and consultant for the company.

Julie is a graduate of Purdue University, where she studied Psychology and has P&C licenses in Indiana and South Carolina. Her favorite aspects of her career are the risk assessment and placement, interpersonal interactions, building professional relationships, obstacles, and a wide range of insurance-related factors, which are all skills she utilizes daily.

She is also involved in many organizations in her leisure time. She is a current member of the Charleston Artist Guild and the Tippecanoe Arts Federation while living in Indiana. She was also a Special Operations Committee Member of The Haan Museum of Indiana Art and continues her active membership in the organization, from South Carolina.

Julie currently resides in Johns Island, South Carolina, where she is a successful artist who specializes in acrylic painting, in her spare time. She uses acrylic paint, pastels and charcoal to create original works of art, usually on canvas. She has since been selected by juries into several prestigious gallery exhibitions, art festivals and received awards for her pieces. She currently has pieces located in over 15 states around the United States. She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, niece and nephew, and other family members at many of the beautiful parks, beaches, and historic sites in and around Charleston, South Carolina.
