Sam Watts joined Arlington/Roe in 2024 as a Professional Liability Senior Broker. Prior to joining Arlington/Roe, Sam worked as the director of operations for the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) Agency in Indianapolis for six years. During his time at NAMIC, he also served as a senior customer service representative and customer service team leader. Additionally, Sam has experience working with a variety of small commercial and personal lines clients at Hylant Insurance. He began his insurance career in 2006 at State Farm as an intern. He then worked at the Jim Metzler State Farm Agency as a multiple line sales and service representative.

Sam graduated from Ball State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in marketing and minor in psychology. Sam holds a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Management Liability Insurance Specialist (MLIS) and Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation.

Sam’s favorite aspect of his chosen career is meeting agent producers and establishing working relationships. He is also fascinated by learning about emerging risks and expanding his insurance product knowledge. He enjoys finding new solutions for various risks and being a trusted advisor to meet policy placement needs that emerge as a result of the changing world.

Sam is involved with the Big I of Indiana and was honored to serve as its Young Agents/Emerging Leaders Committee chair from 2017 to 2018. He is also a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) and volunteers at the Boys and Girls Club in Noblesville.

In his spare time, Sam enjoys spending time with his family, going to parks, swimming, golfing, bike riding and helping coach his son’s baseball team.
