Meet ROE Rater: A Faster Way to Get E&S GL & Property Indications
ARTICLE August 2026
When clients need answers quickly, agencies need tools that can keep pace.
That’s why Arlington/Roe is excited to introduce ROE (Rate Online Easily) Rater, our new online rating platform designed to help agents obtain general liability and property indications faster and more efficiently. The platform provides access to multiple E&S carriers through a streamlined process that helps move submissions from intake to indication with less back-and-forth and fewer delays.
Built for Speed
One of the biggest challenges in today’s marketplace is time. Clients expect quick responses and agents need to determine whether a risk is marketable as soon as possible.
ROE Rater addresses that challenge by letting agents enter risk information once and receive indications from multiple eligible E&S carriers. Instead of waiting for the traditional submission process to unfold, agents can quickly identify market options and start meaningful conversations with their insureds.
Just as important, applications submitted through ROE Rater are sent directly to an Arlington/Roe underwriter and moved to the top of the review queue, helping create a more responsive experience for agents.
Easy to Use, Backed by Underwriters
ROE Rater was built with simplicity in mind.
Agents can search for eligible classifications, enter risk information, answer carrier-specific underwriting questions and receive indications through a guided process. The platform also allows users to review forms, compare available carrier options and generate indication summaries to share with insureds.
While technology helps move the process along, ROE Rater doesn’t replace the value of Arlington/Roe’s underwriting team. If a risk falls outside the platform’s eligibility guidelines or doesn’t fit available rating markets, an underwriter will still review submissions for additional consideration.
A Growing Appetite for Classes
ROE Rater currently provides access to a broad range of general liability classes across several key industry segments. Available classes include habitational risks, contractors, retail businesses, service operations and other miscellaneous exposures. Examples include apartment buildings, warehouses, landscapers, HVAC contractors, roofers, janitorial services, health clubs, truckers GL and many others.
As the platform continues to evolve, we may add additional opportunities and enhancements to help agents access even more solutions through a single portal.
What Agents Are Saying
“The rater has helped me tremendously. I was surprised by the number of class codes that are available to submit. It’s also very easy to submit referrals when someone doesn’t meet the eligibility criteria. It’s laid out in a way that’s easy to navigate and understand. It saves me a ton of time by letting me submit without having to wait for the needed apps to come back (although that usually doesn’t take very long!). I also love that there is a section where I can upload ACORDS and other necessary documents that may aid in the quoting process. Finally, I’d say having the underwriter’s contact information listed for each quote is very helpful. Overall, the rater has helped me to be more efficient and able to better serve our clients.” – Jennah K., Tennessee
“We have a lot of inquiries from clients that are looking to start a business and are currently only looking for an indication – ROE Rater is awesome for this! I do quote a lot of my business that is brokered through the ROE Rater; the process is easy, and the application goes straight to the underwriter. After review, if there is a better option for coverage, the underwriter lets me know – I really like that. Want to give the best to the client. So glad that Arlington Roe initiated the ROE Rater.” – Tammy C., Illinois
“The Roe Rater has been an integral tool in our habitational market especially. The ease, simplicity, and timeliness it allows for both us and Arlington/Roe to get the best quote for our clients turned around at a rapid speed has been top-notch. Working with Anthony and the A/R team has turned a nightmare of habitational non-renewals into a quick, easy, and efficient workflow – allowing us to gain back valuable time in our workdays. I appreciate A/R rolling this tool out when it was needed most!” – Katie M., Nebraska
